Journals and newspapers:
The Library provides access to a wide range of printed and digital journals and newspapers on Politics and Sociology. Depending on the title they may be available in print, digital or microform format, or more than one format. Additionally a number of titles are kept in store outside London, and these can be recalled using the online store request form. Printed editions of journals and newspapers are shelved on the Lower Ground Floor of the Library. It should be noted that the Library provides access to a large number of digital journals and newspapers and it may be easier and more convenient to access them this way. It should be stressed, however, that the number of Polish journals available digitally is limited. Examples of titles available digitally include Studia Socjologiczne and Sprawy Międzynarodowe, while English language materials are also well-represented. E-journals can be found on Explore.
The Library also subscribes to a number of Polish dailies and weeklies, such as Polityka, Wprost, Przegląd Tygodniowy, Gazeta Wyborcza and Rzeczpospolita. They are available in printed format and can be found on the Lower Ground Floor. Additionally access to some materials from Gazeta Wyborcza and the Polish News Bulletin is available via the Lexis Nexis database.
Documentaries on Polish history, politics and current events are listed on the SSEES library website.
